I am letting fear rule my life. God did not give us a spirit of fear. It comes from the devil trying to stop you from becoming what God meant for you to become. Everything I am not doing is in fear. My fear of driving, my fear of going back to school, my fear of doing something with my life and it being wrong. So I sit and do nothing.

I have God on my

side, I shall fear no

I was watching Enjoying Everyday Life, it is Joyce Meyer’s program. The message was about being bold. Something I was years ago. I let fear take away the last 8 years. No more fear.

My life is changing

and I am handing

control to God!!!!!! I

shall not fear

And I will walk at liberty and at ease,

for I have sought and inquired for [and

desperately required] Your precepts.

                                    Psalm  119:45

It takes discipline to balance your life. You should be disciplined to pray, disciplined to read and study the Word, and disciplined to spend quality time in fellowship with the Lord. But you must also be disciplined to spend quality time with your family, and to take care of your health. You should even  discipline yourself to rest and have fun.

Examine your life today and do what is needed to bring balance to the way you use your time. God wants your life to be full of joy. Psalm 23:2-3 teaches that He will lead you beside still and restful waters. He will refresh and restore your life. And He will lead you in the paths if righteousness for His name’s sake.

Exercise foresight and be on the watch to look [after one another], to see that no one falls back from and fails to secure God’s grace (His unmerited favor and spiritual blessing), in order that no root of resentment (rancor, bitterness, or hatred) shoots forth and causes trouble and bitter torment, and the many become contaminated and defiled by it.

                                    Hebrews 12:15

Jesus said, ” If you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt…..even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done. And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive”    Matthew 21:21-22

Don’t misuse the power of words by talking too much without faith or talking too little about your faith. Choose kind and gentle words that lift people and quiet gossip and strife. Believe that God’s grace will prevail through what you say.

My husband and I are going through a little bit of a money crunch. We got behind in our bills a bit, especially the car payment. We are trying to catch up now that he has started getting paychecks. We paid the car company what we could, they told us it was not enough they were going to come get the car. We told them ok that is fine come get it. My husband and I cleaned out the car and waited. Well I have been praying about our financial situation for some months now. On July 31st we got a call from the car company saying to come in with Steve’s pay stub and they would tack on the missed payments to the end of the note. We could just start paying the payments and not worry about trying to catch up. That is quite a change of tune, and a mighty fast one at that. My God is capable of all things. NOTHING is too big or too small for Him. Thank you for all your blessing.

And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the Holy One, the True One, He Who has the key of David, Who opens and no one shall shut, Who shuts and no one shall open:(B)

I know your [record of] works and what you are doing. See! I have set before you a door wide open which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept My Word and guarded My message and have not renounced or denied My name

                                                  Revelation 3:7-8

He loves all of his children. Pray, do not worry and fret it is a waste of time and energy. It is like rocking in a rocking chair you are burning energy, but not going anywhere. The power of prayer truly works. You have to ask to receive. Have faith and trust in the Lord. He will provide for your needs.

Where is the wise man (the philosopher)? Where is the scribe (the scholar)? Where is the investigator (the logician, the debater)? of the present time and age? Has not God shown up the nonsense and the folly of this world’s wisdom?

                           I  Corinthians 1:20

In Ephesians 5:15-17 God’s Word says that we are to live purposefully, using wisdom as sensible, intelligent people. This means to make the most of of the time we are given. Equal time is given to all, but we don’t always use wisdom to keep from wasting it.

We are to buy up every opportunity we can to fulfill our purpose on Earth, which is to love God, and others. Verse 17 says, “Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.” Get alone with God to make sure you know how to use your time today.

For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seem grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness- in conformity to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing in God].

                                                            Hebrews 12:11

An undisciplined person looks for ways to avoid hard work. Passivity prevails in our culture; everything is geared to making life easier: ride the escalator, take the elevator, get fast food carry out. But the easy way is not always the best way.

Just as we need to exercise our bodies, so we need to exercise our faith by facing difficult challenges. Use faith to forgive others who offend you and to trust God when you can’t see how problems will be solved. Soon you will enjoy a harvest of righteousness from the discipline you endure today.

I am finding myself in a place wanting to be closer with God. I want a deeper relationship with Him. Yes, I believe in God. He is an awesome God. He can handle all of our problems. He wants a closer relationship with all of us. So I have decided to make this blog about my time studying the Bible and what I find. It will be about what I feel the need to share and along with living a Christian life as best as I can. I have started a prayer journal that I do my best to write in every day. I am much better with writing words then with trying to get my prayers heard and thoughts out by mouth. My daily quotes will become scriptures and now be called Daily Devotions.

God Bless you all

God’s Grace

I am not perfect, I am a sinner, but by God’s grace I am forgiven. We are all forgiven.

You can come to God as you are. He will meet you where ever you are. He will love and forgive you as you are. There is no need to delay your relationship with God. All you have to do is ask for forgiveness and open your heart to Christ. Where ever you are close your eyes and ask God into your life. He will help change whatever He feels needs to be changed in your life. We are His creation, His children, we belong to Him, and He loves us. He knows everything about us, even before we say or do something.

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgement and made partakers of Christ’s salivation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;  Ephesians 2:8
