We went to bingo last night. It was fun. Patty won $100, and Steve won $20. The only thing I did was horseshoe. A good time was had by all. After bingo we went to the gym, but we were tired. I only did 12 minutes on the treadmill. I also did 2 minutes on a bike. I did not do very well at the gym. Today we are going to Mayfest. It should be pretty fun, but it will kind of hard to get my 8 glasses of water in but I am going to try my hardest. I will be trying some new healthier recipes out this next week. I have a fruit and yogurt salad I can not wait to try.

I did something I thought I could not do. I use the Walk Away the Pounds DVD. There are 3 workouts on the DVD. A one mile, a two mile and a three mile. I have been really afraid to try the two mile. I really thought that there was no way I could go past the mile mark. Guess what? I did the whole two miles. I admit that I had to slow down once or twice, but I kept moving and I finished it. I also did my mile on the treadmill so that is 3 miles today!!!! I also got all eight glasses of water. I think that is my third day in a row to get all my water. The only thing is I like to go to the gym later in the evening after dinner, but there is one problem, after I am home for about half an hour I get really hungry. It is not like yeah I could eat or I could wait, it is feeling like I am starving. I try to ignore it, but it wont go away. I try to eat some fruit, and I still feel hungry, but I wait 30 minutes to see if it goes away, and it does not so I go get a 100 calorie pack of something or other. Is there anything I can do to stop being so hungry after a workout or something that I could eat that would satisfy my hunger? I feel so strong right now I have no desire to go to bed. I have not felt this good in a long long time.

I was going to weigh myself yesterday. The scale is in my mother in laws bathroom. I step on it and it said I weighed 0.0 lbs.  Yahoo!!! I am skinny!!! (Just Kidding) Her scale is on the fritz. I went to the gym tonight and got and their scale and it said I lost 4 more lbs. That means I have lost 8 lbs all together. Plus it was the wrong time to weigh. It was in the evening about 2 hours after I ate dinner, plus I had my shoes on. I am giddy. I almost at my first goal of 10 lbs. I am so proud of myself. I know I keep saying that, but I keep proving to myself that if I put my mind I can do anything! I have a confidence problem. I am amazed that this is working.


I am feeling really great today. I just got back from the gym. I am proud of myself I managed to drink 9 glasses of water today. That is huge for me. I do not like the taste of water so I use Crystal Light to go.  It has 10 calories in a package. I also use the Lipton Tea to go things and those have no calories so I try to use those more, but I like the Crystal Light better. I did ankle presses and my calves are a little sore, but that is ok. It will be so worth every ache and pain to get healthier. I have not gotten back on the scale, but I will tomorrow. I also tracked everything I ate today. I really want to start doing that everyday. That way I do not go over my calories for the day. Sometime I feel like when I am putting stuff into the tracker that I could be up and burning calories, but it is important to keep up with what you eat.

I could not go to the gym tonight, but I did work out. I did water aerobics for about 45 minutes. Plus I did my workout tape and some strength training. We had some pretty bad storms here. I think they dropped three tornados. We are safe and I hope everyone else is safe. Steve starts his new job tomorrow. He has to be up about 4:20 in the morning. He is starting his training in Dallas, but he will work in Burleson as soon as they open the new store. Have a safe night all.

I have fallen off the wagon. Last night was the first time in almost two weeks I went to the gym. I have been drinking soda, not water. I have been eating whatever whenever. I am stopping that now. We are going to the gym tonight. No more soda. I am not punishing myself or beating myself up, but I am learning from my mistakes and I will move on. I have put back on most of the weight back that I  lost. It was not but four pounds, but I was moving in the right direction. Last night I could not do very much exercise because my foot was hurt. We were playing around and he went to close the door to our bedroom. The problem is my foot was in the way of the door. Yeah that hurt like a something else. My foot is feeling a lot better tonight, so I am going to work my tail off, or try to work my tail off.


Steve got a job. He is training to be a supervisor at a pizza restaurant. He is excited about this so I am happy for him.

I have lost 3lbs. I am trying to only have one soda a week. I am drinking lots and lots of water. We are going to the gym almost every night of the week. When I get a craving I go for fruit instead of junk food. Steve is not putting any where near the sugar in his tea. I am also using a workout video Walking off the Pounds. You walk a mile in 15 minutes. I know three pounds is not a lot but I feel like its a great start. I feel better. I do not feel so tired I have more energy. I think that is from the exercise. I am encouraged and excited to keep going. I cant wait to hit the 10 pound mark.

Getting Healthier

I am finally working on one of my goals for the year. My husband and I joined a web site called Spark People. You can keep track of your calorie intake, calories burned, how much water you drank that day and so on and stuff. Its pretty cool. You can make your own profile page kind of like myspace, but everyone there is trying to lose weight or keep it off. Tonight we went and joined a gym. I am a little sore, but I bet it will be worse tomorrow. Today is the second day without any soda. This morning I had juice then the rest of the day has been water. I am trying to not have any soda but its harder than you think. One of my goals is to write in a journal every day so this will be my journal.
